wondering what the best oil to use would be... would prefer to put bmw oil in it but too late to get there now! can anyone help?

castrol edge 0W30 is what I have put in all my MINI's and comes recommended. Fully synthetic and costs a blooming fortune. :rolleyes::argh:

Personally as a 'dealer' we use Mobil 1 ESP 5w30

Castrol edge 0w30w for me. When you look up the castrol guides thats what it recommends.
5w30w is fine also (about £2 per litre cheaper)
I am lucky that we have lots of castrol edge 0w30w at work :D

Im sure it was 5w40 i got reccomended, fully synthetic...
Engine certainly sounds sweeter from cold, although my new cam chain tensioner may also be helping that out!
