Can anyone explain, in straight-forward/simple terms, what the main purpose of a strut brace is? I'm thinking of fitting one to my MO to improve handling etc (if thats the main advantage). Also would this engine bay 'upgrade' be considered an invalidation of dealer warranty?

will not effect warranty & you are unlikely to notice any difference in driving.

The main purpose is to stiffen the chassis.

On the clubsport cars the strut turrets were cracking because the suspension is so stiff so they fitted strut braces to helf combat that.:)

You'd probably notice better handling by adding an anti roll bar :)

How easy is it to retro fit an anti roll bar to the MINI as the One doesn't have one as standard and how much is it likly to cost:question:
