re my Cooper been thinking for while

to make my car up to be along the lines of a racing Mini theme with decals.

Worse case if I don't like / get fed up and just take them off.

So far been thinking the number 67 in red with black back ground circle either on the doors or the A panel and a bit of the door.

with a small black check running along the bottom of the side of the car.

Not wanting any stickers like borbet or that kind of thing.

if anyone would like to photoshop it for me so I could get an idea that would be great and any ideas on what to include for decals that would also be great.

I didn't know that:argh::argh: is that only on the doors can I put part of them on the quarter panel and a bit on the doors.

My understanding is that race organisations do not allow race cars to display numbers when travelling on the road between stages. Back in the day, competitors used to put a strip of black tape over them and that kept the organisers happy. I think I remember reading something about this somewhere recently in an interview with Paddy Hopkirk.

To the best of my knowledge, and using some common sense, it's not breaking any 'laws' to display a number on a car. Why would it be? Why would a number be illegal, but not a word? Think about a Dynorod van! :p And why would putting a circle behind it suddenly make it legal?

Unless someone show's you the relevant law I would assume that legally there is no problem, but aesthietically...:eek: Each to their own though.:smilewinkgrin:

Personally I'd rather have a MINI that looked like a road car, but WENT like a racing car... Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks. Just don't get carried away or it'll look like a 70's nightmare - sometimes less is more! Best of luck whatever you decide Fi, I'm sure it'll look fine.

Yeah I like it. At the end of the day I do not intend to do much like how you see some Scooby's. The only thing added is the number the rest well alot of the cars have vipers and the check running along the bottom of the door.
