Recommendations required.

I am looking to change out my suspension and Brakes on my 2002 Cooper and would appreciate any recommendations from tried and tested pieces of kit.

I had began with considering the Works upgrade parts but had been advised that the brakes were not that much of an upgrade from the standard and when checking Forums on the suspension the coil overs were rated highly but very difficult to get the ideal set up.

Now Im very confused and any help welcome

Thanks.

The guys who go to 'the ring' on NM say that the R56 Cooper S brakes are probably the best value upgrade. They are identical to the R53 works ones, you just need some good quality pads and fluid.

The brake kit for the new Works does appear to be better than the earlier models but are they compatable, I didnt think they would fit my model.

There is a lot of info on MINI2 regarding fitting R56 brakes to the 1st gen cars.

Also, Snowie has done this, PM him if you are a member there :thumbs up:
