Good pic Fi.
But, what I want to know is what is in the top right section that is so scary they felt it necessary to blank it off with black boxes.
I got an email the other day saying launch tickets are available for a date while we are out in Florida. But it's not for a Shuttle launch so not that bothered.

it's due to Hubble taking a multiple of photographs to cover that area of the sky and in a way it's like building a mosaic. So as not to take away from the image you are looking at, any other part of the photograph that has nothing to do with it are blocked out.
Many images are taken and stacked to give the hi - res picture that you see. The current sensor on Hubble is not sensitive of large enough to produce one large picture.
Any picture taken by hubble are in black and white there is no colour it's only after taking a spectrograph of that area it shows what colour the light should be and then it can be manipulated very much like photoshop.
