Does Mini Dundee offer MINI SMART Repair?

Got a very small dent that you can feel better than you can actually see it, buts its there.

Also got a few wee chips on the bonnet etc.

Coming into summer time I would like to get these sorted ASAP.

I read in another thread prices like £55 per dent, £75 per alloy.

Def need all 4 alloys refurbished as they are a sorry state.

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum section - feel free to shift it where it belongs.

Liam,

Never heard of MINI SMART repairs, unless its something new??

i did recall seeing a thread on here about someone getting there dents sorted by a dent master (whichever name mentioned in thread) which i think would possibly be cheaper than what we would be.

ill pop you a quick PM.:thumbs up:

Canterbury BMW is delighted to offer a new generation of vehicle repairs: SMART. It stands for “Small to Medium Area Repair Technique”. It encompasses a range of advanced techniques used to repair small to medium damaged areas quickly and cost effectively, avoiding the expense of traditional repair methods and unnecessary replacement of parts.
Using state-of-the-art technology, Canterbury BMW can provide high quality repairs for a whole range of problems, including small dents in body panels, stone chips to paintwork, windscreens and slight kerb damage scratches to alloy wheels.
Any minor damage to your vehicle is upsetting – but at least it can be fixed quickly, to high quality standards at low cost, and without affecting your insurance premium.

I was in Douglas Park in Glasgow to get a touch up whilst over there on business recently and they had signs up about offering this kind of thing. They had some sample 'from' prices up but ****ed if i can remember any of them.

The above prices seem rather expensive. I am sure going straight to a SMART repair independant will be half that, or it has in my experience anyway.

There is a impressive BMW workshop over in Hilington, but dont know what they do although i was parked a few months back near it and they had both BMW and Mini's in.

Was it a stone chip? I have a few stone chips I'd love to get fixed, they came with the car and it had only done 1k.....

I know everyone has different experiences of companies good and bad but for a mini site we should have a few repair places locked down. Just a pity we don’t have a few that work in them on here.

I have emailed these guys:

http://www.smartautofife.co.uk/

Not a lot of info on their site but the main thing im looking for is paint less dent removal. I will ask to make sure the dent will just be rolled out though.

Will see how they go about tackling chips etc and they say they do wheels so hopefully have my alloys looking nice once again.
