Well I just had a play in my MCS last night with the traction control off and I have to say I reckon it felt MUCH more responsive! May be a placebo effect but it felt like it had a wee bit more puff! Does anyone know if the AST+C changes the OBC at all throughout the rev range?

Maybe it's just time for my medication again? :I

OBC? Do you mean the engine management unit Wul?

I don't think so. I think ASC+T just cuts back the throttle to prevent wheel slip. It may use the ECU to control it but I don't think the actual mapping would be changed on the fly.

DSC does the ASC thang & also can brake wheels (all four) individually to straighten your course as well.

I turn the DSC off every time I get in the car. Sometimes I forget though and floor it away from junctions in a cloud of smoke! Very fun though!

I have found my S to be more responsive when traction is off - very odd as I know it shouldn't make a diff, but certainly feels better.
