Aberdeen to the red arrows

Well the big run to Arbroath is near up on us so lets sort out a run up the road,any one want to be in convoy ? I reckon we will need to leave at 8.30am and Aberdeen beach is a good enough place to meet. what do people think ? who is going ?

Place--- Aberdeen beach - opposite beach ballroom
Date --- SAT 3rd July 04
Time --- 8.30am
Destination ---- Arbroath 10.15am ( via Montrose )

Good idea, one thing though, i believe the MINI's that are attending the show are to be escorted in by the traffic police from a designated place, so, this run should coincide with the meeting point for the escort :)

Thanx Bonnie Scotland, Howard has posted an update and we should arrive in Arbroath (Focus DIY store ) by 11am for an 11.10am set off with the police escort, I reckon that if we leave by 9am that should be time enough to get there with a little bit extra for viewings.

I would be willing to join the convoy as I haven't got a clue how to get to Arbroath :I

I'll probably be on my own too :(I take it that won't be a handicap?

Also, I've got a muckle great big digital SLR camera with tons of space for photos, I could become the photographer for the day if that was required?

Ok, just to keep this thread alive, are the Aberdeen lot still driving into montrose to meet up with me and RS at 10am?
If so, from there we will head out the Brechin road, cut through Brechin and onto the Arbroath road and onto Focus.

Please note i will have 2 passengers with me and there will be no heroics, this is a fun day out for all and we will get there in plenty time

Anyone worked out the new departure time for aberdeen????? Lots of info on the other thread about where we need to be at what times - may need to leave Aberdeen earlier than originally planned. I dont really have a handle on times from Aberdeen to Montrose to Arbroath (not being a local :D )

I spoke with John about leaving times for Aberdeen, as we need to leave Montrose at 9.40 you will need to leave Aberdeen at 8.40 :)

How's Molly doing? I would have introduced myself but I have difficulty finding my way back to the same place on the site! I will definitely be there on Sat with Hamish. I've got another one ordered for August - Hamish 2. Another cooper but with all the fancy bits i couldn't afford but now MUST HAVE. Did you know the cooper is no longer available in Indie Blue. I've had to get the new one in Electric blue. I just hope the saltire looks right on it. By the way I know my way to Arbroath. I drive there almost every day. As a reminder to those who will be in the convoy, we have to leave Montrose Railway Station by 9.40 at the very latest :p:) No room for error or we will miss the Arbroath convoy into the event and maybe miss our FREE lunch :I
