Frankly i'm stunned at the level of cleanliness
I had thought that i was keeping on top of removing the bird crap, but, sadly there are several places where the paint is damaged, would need a polisher methinks.

So Crombers, you're in charge of the Manky Club now :moonie: :D

Looks good.

A wee tip for you next time you snow foam it needs to be thicker i.e. more foamy/thicker so that it sticks to the car better allowing it do it's job better.

what ratio did you use?

Gismo
17th April 2009, 07:27 PM
what ratio did you use?Just a squirt

I always think there is a line in Detailing, There is the Detail that takes countless hours and days and then there is what I do probably much like yourself, put in a shift, use the right stuff and get good results that I’m very happy with.

Mind on a good day I can take four or five hours to wash, polish, glaze and seal but that is just a few times in the year. After that its Wax a couple of times and keeping the wheels and glass clean. Only down side is you get so used to the car you find all the wee stine chips etc.

Anyway the Car looks fantastic:thumbs up: and at the very least your MiniScotland sticker is on right you should see my effort…

Yes :thumbs up:

well if your using the megs hyper wash then 15ml to 25ml should give you ultra good foam.

From the pics that looks a good first job. Well done. Like Fi says, the foam should be much... erm... foamier = thicker. So it clings to the car and drags lots of grime off with it as it melts off.

Looking forward to seeing the car on Sunday now.:thumbs up:

I had the same prob with foam and I still have to get another foam lance as it is cheaper than buying a new pressure washer.;)

I have the same foam Lance as you Alan, bought from the same place about a fortnight before you, This was my first attempt. About an inch in the bottom of the bottle topped off with hot water from the kettle. 6 cars were done from the one bottle that day everyone thought it was fun!!!!

Its a Lavor, cheapie thing from Lidl a few weeks back, cant fault it really good flow rate which was more important then the pressure.

At the moment I’m using Bilt hamber foam and it intentionally does not create a thick foam as any foam that is not in contact is a waste………however that is expensive but its impressive, its actually close to a touch free wash……But for the summer I’m going with my inch of Super snow foam for the lance which looks like festers and one 25ml squirt of Hyperwash in the gilmor for the mit wash.

Hoping to have polished, glazed, sealed and three coats of wax on for my first run in June. Once the wax is on cleaning is easy as the dirt just cant bond………

Next thing you'll be out taking picture of the beads of rain on your car........:D
