Managed to use a heap of air miles so am flying down from Aberdeen, 2 nights in a Strand Hotel

See, I'd have loved to have seen them in 1987. But I didn't know it at the time. The Joshua Tree and Rattle & Hum are two of the best albums I've ever heard. But the later they get the less I seem to like them. But in 1987 I wouldn't have had the appreciation for them (aged 15) that I do now.

I was 18 and got to say it was amazing :yes nod:

The Pogues(probably spelled wrong) and Kirsty M'Coll were supporting them what a day we had :D

Don't rate their music now though but back then they were brilliant :thumbs up:

My wife went to see them a few years ago. She loved it but said Bono did try ramming poverty and charity throat after every couple of songs and that spoiled it a bit. She didn't mind him talking about it but he did it way too much for a gig.

Still love "All I want is you", my fav U2 song.
