Has anyone used the new googlemaps with the street view? Pretty weird but entertaining for a while at work.

Tried a little game of trying to spot everyones cars I know, so far... Just me. Anyone elses cars on there?

Ewan sent me a link to one yesterday showing a friend of his running across the road, chasing a cat I think he said!! lol was pretty funny :D

Just checked it out after reading it in the paper. Have a look at Anniesland, glasgow and there's a blue mini going under the railway bridge, it was a bit blurry when I zoomed in so I couldn't catch the reg. It might be someone off here! ;)

You should just be able to go onto maps.google.co.uk, and zoom in a bit, then drag the wee yellow guy in the top left corner onto a street to use Street View..

My mate was chasing the camera van around the Uni campus, taking pics of the van taking pics of *him* haha :laugh::laugh::D

Gizmo - Not all of the UK is mapped yet, so if you are looking at certain areas it won't give you the option. I can't imagine Montrose was first on the list of places to do :-)

My Cosmo Black Cooper is parked in the driveway with the number plate blurred out.

I must be using my wife's or my other car that day The photo was taken in a sunny afternoon.

If the outline of the streets turn to blue when you dragged the wee man, the area is mapped at street-view.

They seem to have gone to the trouble of mapping my works carpark for some reason. Ewan/Zimbo I'd love to see where that guy is running around the campus and also the one of the guy chasing the cat. Any idea how to get to it?

They blanked mine out but not the SP from the start. Mine must have been taken a while ago as I still had silver alloys in the picture :p.

My car is on there... parked on the street i work in on Nithsdale Drive on the Southside of Glasgow G41 2PP.

Can zoom right in and see the NMS sticker on the back window...

Brilliant technology - and such a good time waster at work :D

Amazed that all of Brechin has been mapped, but Union Street in Aberdeen hasn't been done.

They seem to have put a lot of effort into most of the North East of Scotland. Reckon that must have been their first trial for small towns and rural areas as there there is no where else in the UK with such an extensive coverage.

If you go onto the Sherifhall roundabout at Edinburgh you can see a couple of my colleagues standing there in there high vis jackets. Busy working obviously. They told us when they got back in off site a couple months back that the google van went past.

Was playing with this over the weekend, weird that the little road down to my house outside Aberdeen has been done and yet most of the centre of Aberdeen hasnt. Did say in the paper at the weekend that the Google car was seen by Balmoral last week sometime so they must still be working on it. The shots down my road were definitely taken last summer.

type in google earth and go to site and download( onto PC/laptop):bigwave:, easy

Forget checkin th UK...........go onto Google maps and check out California. Search for places like Compton, Longbeach or Crenshaw etc. It's well cool, just like being in Boyz in the Hood. If your lucky you might see some lowriders....ha ha!!
