My car gets better'n'better...

Well I was away down to London and back over the weekend and I managed to some how get 62mpg whilst constantly travelling between 70 & 80 majority of the way, to say I was surprised is to put it mildly, that was until today when I went through to Kirkaldy and back travelling there and back due to traffic was between 55 & 65 all the way and I managed to get these figues as shown below... :eek:

I’m still hopeful my Cooper will improve. I’ll get 58mpg on a run but around 37-39 around town on short trips. Its only done 5K….

My R56 Cooper is running the same figures as yours and it's done 18500.

I'm happy I'm going on a few Mini Runs as the car never gets stretched which can’t be good for it. I could get over sixty I recon on a decent run. I’m going to North Yorkshire and the drive down apart from the last 50 miles after Sutton bank its all motorway or Duel carriageway.

I probably should be getting the rev’s above 4K but I feel the car is never warmed up as most of the time its 15 minutes here and there.


What Zimbo did not say was that actually he was driving in Holland which is flat…….:hand:
