Visited the pertol station last night. My petrol warning light was on and the indicator was sitting over the light (naughty naughty I know) I only put in a tenners worth. When I started the car after filling up the warning light has stayed:ragin: on despite being just below a 1/4 tank full ! I'll put another fifteen quid in today to see if that makes a difference.
All advice appreciated

This is OK, it knows how you drive and that 1/4 will not last long.

Cheers John, it was nothing. More fuel = no red light. Well it just came back on today, so I've used £15 of fuel since my last post !
