Well been a long day...
Vikki got a puncture today. So me being the knight in shining armour that i am came equipped with my spare alloy, spacer and longer nuts.
Anyway my nuts (2004 pre-facelift Cooper) don't fit in her 2006 facelift One. Is this normal, they were all to small, even the ones on my car were to small to fit on hers:ragin:
Can someone enlighten me as to why this is?:blush:

Are they not bolts??
In any event, i would have expected them to fit

That was the AA mans choice of phrase:p
But the my bolts/nuts were a different size to Vikkis ones, we tried all different combinations and none of them worked.
We both have all Mini parts aswell

They changed size of the bolts for the facelift model. Didn't know that. But the OEM wheels will fit either, just my bolts won't fit onto her car.
My new thing of the day

Yeah, they went from M12 to M14. The new ones are had to get hold of at the moment.

aye Ben, like Jonny you have me confused...
face lift models went from mid 2004 to the end of 2006. If the car is July 2006 then it is a facelift model. :yes nod:

Its kinda confusing for me to. But this is the thing i got shown on Mini 2 (http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_wheels_tyres#faq_faq_aftermarket_w heels), but its not from the facelift as i first thought. It is cars from July 2006, so i take it 56 plated Minis by the time they hit the road.
Sorry for the confusion, anyway its on that page under "What aftermarket wheels are available?"
