r53 suspension fitment for r50 2002 ?

Would suspension struts and springs from an r53 cooper s fit a 2002 r50 cooper.
Mr Gismo man is punting a set which I would love if they fit !

I cant see there being a problem.
I have had the front suspension out of an R50 before and looked at several R53s when up on a ramp and they all seem the same.

You may need new top mounts as some of the earlier ones were different;)

my mini's (2003 R50) is fitted with 2005 R53 suspension. but i used the complete front and rear subframes from the R53 so i dont know if that makes a difference?:confused: but it all just bolted straight up with no problems.

If you could David (parts master) I'd appreciate it. I could pm you my reg. and if you could check to see if the mounts I have fitted just now could be used.(my r50 2002 top mounts fitted to r53 sports plus suspension/struts and springs)

I'm off all next week, if you can leave the car with me for a day i can strip out one of your struts and see if i can swap my set up into your car.
