Hey Stan, just saw footage on the news regarding the trains in China with everyone trying to get home for the event :eek:

Was in Hong Kong last new year, year of the rat.....

Total craziness with people traveling home, China had massive amounts of snow that caused everything and one to gring to a halt.....

Fireworks were just amazing - spelling out letters and numbers, no idea how thay managed that but very very cool :cool: .....

Was also trapped out with my friend on the penthouse balcony.....had to break into her flat :clap: :clap: :clap:

New slippers and red envelopes with monies in are the rather odd traditional gifts.....

Well, the Chinese invented gun power and were used for fireworks to celebration events like New Year Day!

The red envelopes monies are kinda like Christmas gifts in the West but only given by married couples to young, unmarried relations.
