Hi Folks. My name is Barry and I am new to the 'New' Mini Scene.

Hoping to pick up my Mini Cooper S on Sunday from Edinburgh and get it back up here to Aberdeen. It's a 53 plate Silver with Black roof.

I've probably paid too much for it from the dealer (Arnold Clark), but what the hell, I've got a lot to learn!! I got an H reg Mini Cooper for my 21st birthday and fell in love with minis ever since!

My current car is a Seat Ibiza Sport, but it's got no personality and is getting traded in at a loss so I can get my hands on a Cooper S. Took one out for a test drive at the weekend and am still buzzing!

Hopefully this forum will be a good guide for me in the future, and I look forward to meeting you all. It's certainly got more atmosphere than the mini2 forums! :thumbs up:

So I picked my new (to me) mini up today from the stealer in Edinburgh. It's a 53 Plate Cooper S in the dark silver with black roof. 40k miles on the clock and cost me £7k all in, which I think is average?!

The car is back in Aberdeen now and sitting pretty in the driveway. The ride back to the Deen was nice, but peeing of rain and pitch black! It's a joy to drive so far, can't wait to get the back windows tinted and something done with either a design on the rear or a V bonnet with black scoop...

Hopefully will get to a meet in the new year and get to know everyone, but for now, keep a look out for me in the Deen and give me a :thumbs up: then write here and let me know you saw me!!
