UPDATE: Voting Now Open.

You can now vote for your favourite Pic from the list above. Refer to the rest of this thread to chose which pic you like best and vote away. But chose carefully, as you can only vote for ONE pic.

==============================================

As suggested by Stan (rpn) this is a monthly photo competition for anyone interested. It's just a bit of fun so there's no prizes except the admiration of your photo skills by fellow NMS'ers.

Entries close on this competition on Monday 22nd December. Once all entries are in we'll start a poll for folk to vote on their favourite.

Simple rules are:

1. Must to be your own work.
2. Maximum of two photos per entrant.
3. Only one entrant (post) per month.
3. Photos must have some relevance to the chosen theme.
4. Doesn't have to be taken this month - you can post a photo from your archive.
5. Doesn't have to be from an SLR - Any pic from any camera.
6. Either post your pic up here or send it to (PM me for my email address while the server is being moved) and I'll put it up for you.
7. Pics must be no bigger than 800pixels on any edge.

Happy posting and good luck.

This months theme: "Snow/Winter"

And one from me.

Took this very early in the morning early November 2006. To be honest if you look carefully and you're on a bright monitor you can just see the tops of the houses opposite our house. But you do have to squint.

Not the best of quality pics, as it's taken with a compact digital camera rather than an SLR, but none the less, very dramatic:

This was taken on the slopes in Tignes and isn't a camera reflection trick - that's how it was seen with the human eye. Bit of a rarity, but it's to do with the snow crystals in the air and the angle of reflection.

Beautiful to see :yes nod:

Well, it seems that this thread/competition is not as popular as I original thought by the lack of entries and activities recently.

Closing date is only days away so get your camera out! :nag:

Saltire won. Sent him a PM, posted to this thread. No response. Not sure if he works offshore or what. I'm sure he's been on since though.

Reluctant to just ditch it though, so maybe we should just come up with our own topic for next month.

How about "portrait"?

Probably best to leave that open. The more restrictions we put on it, the less entries we'll get. So, either.:thumbs up:
