to the second hand values of Clubmans....

was just doing a quick search on MINI Cherished and you can get a year old s Clubman with a decent spec and about 6k miles for under £13k :thud::thud:

I know second hand values aren't doing well at the moment, but surely that is a HUGE loss in the first year ? plus if that is what the dealer is selling for, god knows what the trade-in would be...

I wonder if this is to do with it's relative unpopularity compared to the hatch ?

EDIT: just specc'd a car near identical to the one I mentioned and it comes in at £20,460 so that is over £7.5k loss in a year...:eek::thud::thud::frown::frown:

The good thing is if you're in the market for a new-ish MINI, there's a bargain to be had.

The GFV on my car after 4 years was £9k, hence why I expect to be handing it back rather than trading. TBH there's a glut of them in the dealerships now, I expect values to firm up in the next few years.

predicts a Clubman to be worth less than a hatch after 4 years, even though it cost £1200 more to buy!

I've noticed that in two Glasgow dealers the same brand new clubmans have been lying around for months............they are obviously not selling.

I don't know about the hatches as the clubmans always catch my eye as I'm passing.
