Low mileage

So, we all look at used cars and see "low mileage", but what you do take that to mean? Less than 8000 a year? 10? 12?

I'm interested to see what you guys think!

To me, anything less than 10k a year is low miles

Yeh i would say 9-10k a year is low. Though i do around 13k a year.

As far as I am concerned 12-15k per year would be normal... unless its me, The MINImax van did 23k this year... and my own car another 18k, and I have only had it since march!

10k to 12k average

anything above is high.

I would say less than 10k per year is low.

Cars can do so much more miles these days as long as they are serviced. I wouldnt let a high mileage car put you off if its got good history.

Average mileage for me is 70k a year :sad:....but then im a sales rep but in the mini if i can do 6k a year then i have had a good year:thumbs up:

I always took it as 12000 miles per annum as an average. Anything less is lower and anything more is higher

It's down to who's viewpoint. If you're trading a car in that's done an average of 12K per year the dealer would class it as high mileage. Then they would class that same car when sold as average.:frown:

We do about 15K a year, but that's spread across 3 cars.:D

I've always taken it to be 12K is average, and anything less than 10K is low, but I think the average is going up. I know that between our two cars I expect us to do about 25K this year.

Interested to see that I'm in the right ball park - I've been looking at used cars of late and different people seem to have different views on what low mileage actually means!
