Is it called Macaroni Cheese?
Should it not be macaroni AND cheese?
How did the macaroni get infused with cheese, to make it a singular item?

And when bought from a half decent italian restaurant it's delicious. Not so sure about the "n" bit though. I guess that's just a shortening of "and".
However, I guess when you really get into it, if we insisted it was called macaroni and cheese, you'd really have to add, and flour, and milk, and a wee bit of onion, and a wee bit of mustard, and so on etc.
