I was considering buying one of these

just to save time prior to polishing. Does anyone use them, are they any good? I've seen dealers use them before in the wet but I would only ever use it after the cooper has had a proper wash and there was no chance of scratching.

I have used one on the whole car before and it was fine especially if going to polish straight away. I do prefer a proper chamois leather though. I still use the blade on the glass though.

dont do it! brilliant for glass but get the smallest bit of grit on there and you can imagine what happens when you drag it across your paintwork! :argh: i learnt the hard way :eyes up:

As others have said they are great for glass but thats it. Can make lots of scratches on the bodywork.
Dont use the traditional leather either though as these trap stones and grit and apparently the leather kind of strips wax off.
Best with the likes of a poorboys large drying towel for £9.99 from polished bliss or just using microfibre clothes.
