Still want that Scirocco? I want one of these. Due to hit our shores in the summer. (That means in the normal summer months as summer doesn't really exist for us anymore)

I like those wheels, nightmare to maintain though as you can see how many are scratched!

Looks good:eek: Had those 18 inch "Monza" alloys on our old GTI MkV very nice but difficult to hide wee marks, bet the car is nice in black:thumbs up:

Hopefully there will not be a 5 door option. GTI's should only come with 3. Why do you need another 2 boring doors??

Monza's are easy to take care of. No multispokes and smooth and shiny.

I don't know what the fuss is about the scirocco...nice enough little coupe, but there is a reason the the golf GTI has been an icon for over 30 years....

Equally, there is a reason the mini is an icon, why would you buy a Clubman apart from to not see who was going to hit you from behind :D

5 doors mean people with families can enjoy the fun, it's been suggested my next must have 5 doors so a 3 door is no use to me, but I'd still want a car that can go like a GTi for when I'm on my own. Best of both worlds!

Looks like this is going to be the new corporate look for all veedubs:eyes up:
Not much difference between the nose and bum of the golf and the scirocco if you put them next to each other. Scirocco looks lower tho:thumbs up: Still prefer the Scirocco over the Golf

I suspect that the Scirocco is wider though - i think it uses some kit off a Passat not a Golf.

Here's a thing tho......why has the 2.0l turbo motor in the Scirocco only got 198bhp.....yet the same motor in the Seat has about 220bhp:confused:
If VW want the scirocco to compete with the likes of the Honda type R which is a non turbo with even more bhp I think they've kinda shot themselves in the foot:frown: Think it really needs to have a fair bit more than 200bhp IMO:computer:

The new R32 in the MKVI is rumoured to be a 270BHPish version of the 2l turbo and not a V6 anymore, so that's why it'll be pegged at 210BHP.

Seat will always have more power as they need that to differentiate between it and the GTi.
