Hi all you guys out there. Thought i would join up after i went to the Doune Hill climb at the weekend... What a day out.... loved all the minis. WANT to race next season. Only 2 small problems to that though. No experience driving on a track and no race prepared mini . thought i would get loads of help and advice from the pros on this site...????
Already drive a new mini cooper, and have customised it for my business. Its got a tow bar, a dirty boot and a spiders web roof. All essential for my gardening business.
So any ideas on how to start getting ready for a fun sporting season next year are welcome?
see youz around ;bigwave:

Hi and :welcome:.

If you are looking for advice on racing in the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup, then I would contact Mini Saltire (Mark who is a driver), C. Noble (Craig who runs a team), Knox18 (Chris who is also a driver). These guys are very helpful and friendly so they can point you in the right direction.

Also if you are looking to buy a ready made racing cooper, then contact DickWW as he has one for sale at the moment :thumbs up::thumbs up:

Good to have you onboard - I was at Doune on Sunday, pity we didn't bump into you ;)

Hi Kristle,

:welcome:Glad you enjoyed Doune. I had a blast, it is a lot quicker than what it looks which means I had both eyes shut a few times waiting on a big bang!!

Any questions you have about the racing feel free to ask. As Craig says we are a friendly bunch and would love to see some more cars out doing what we do.:thumbs up:

Hi and welcome... You have the mini bug too, it bit me at the start of the year and we're currently building a race car for me to use next season.

Speak to Craig though, he will keep you right, he's helped me with advice this year.

If I can help in anyway I will... just ask :D

Hi Craig, it was me that was talking to you at the hill climb in Doune.(hope you dont think im to loopy) So want to race next season, just a shame im goin to miss the Knockhill track day, cause that sounds a good way of starting to meeting everyone.
We have been looking at accident damage minis that could be done up and was even considering rippin my one appart, but thought better of it. Mainly cause i like the engine in my one compared to the newer ones.
Goin away on holiday next week, so when we get back, im going to get organise with everything. So watch you in box for plenty of questions????
See ya soon

Hey there, just checked to see if there were any new posts, and saw your question about the tow bar. Best thing i ever did to my mini. Bmw quoted me £800 smackers to fit and buy...... so we did it ourselves for £250. You must buy a Brink tow bar, its the only one that goes onto the mini. You should be able to fit one straight on to yours no bother. Its the whole back bumper basically. Hope that was some help but just drop us a line if you need a help. x
