Air filter cleaning kits

I have just purchased Fergus's Alta air filter and want to clean it so went onto Lohen and purchased a pipercross cleaning kit for all filters www.lohen.co.uk/shop2/proddetail.asp?prod=PipercrossCleaningKit (http://www.lohen.co.uk/shop2/proddetail.asp?prod=PipercrossCleaningKit) , how easy is it to clean these products, has anyone on nms done this. Your thoughts will be appreciated.

I just cleaned my Foam cone Induction kit this week.. Ok, I might have cheated a bit tho, bunged it in a bucket of soapy Fairy water, gave it a good scrub and left it for 3 days to dry. Gave it a coating squirt of wd-40 ;):D till I get round to getting some proper oily-stuff for it.

yeah as burple says, just give it a good clean with soapy water and then rinse. let it dry and them give it an oily coating. WD40 is OK, but you can buy the kits like you have. ;)

ok will do, I will wait till I get my cleaning kit from Lohen and see what to do.
