Bon Voyage Sheilz

Like Sheilz I am off on a Non Mini-Run but through Scotland, Camping/touring.

Taking a 18 year old VFR750 I have been spending a lot of time with over the last 6 months.

Fingers crossed it makes it but the other steeds going are much newer so I now refer to them as my "Support Crew".

You are indeed a brave man camping at this time of year:eek: at least all the midgies should be dead by drowning :eyes up:

Well, if it's anything like London, you'll be fine! It's glorious! For those that can, look at BBC coverage of Wimbledon, that's about 1 mile from house - might try and go on Sunday for the singles (as I'm at the Goodwood Revival this weeked)

That bike does still look good at 18, looks more modern than it's age suggests!

Got back earlier this evening, was damned wet up north, we camped in Scourie, pitched the tents in the dark while it drizzled on us.

Woke up to this from my tent, it was dry but windy. 10 mins later it was dinging it down so everything is in the airing cupboard.

Some lovely views

But all mountain riding was wet.

This is the clouds when we came south into Ullapool.

The campsite was well catered for with its own 'Hair care centre'

Had a blast and 750 odd miles later we are home, safe & sound.

Just back from a 350 miles bike run too. Not too far away, just around the East of Scotland. Friday afternoon from Aberdeen to Alyth via Braemar. Saturday tour around Perth/Fife area then up to Arbroath via Dundee. Home on Sunday late morning.

Will post up some pix next week after I get back from a week away to Cyprus. ;bigwave:
