Saturday - Arrived at circuit about lunch time after 4 hours drive from Alkmaar in Holland just before F1 qualifying sessions started. Stay for the GP2 race 1 too.

My sister paid for the tickets, all four of them (me, my son, brother and brother-in-law). It was a surprise birthday present from her to my brother-in-law. She paid the whole lots including the hotel rooms and dinners in Maastricht for me and Mrs rpn too. :p

It was almost a free weekend because I got my flight ticket to Amsterdam with my KLM airmiles. :thumbs up:

Still got the tickets at home, will post up the ticket cost later.

The photos were taken with two cameras.
My camera is a Nikon D300 with 18-200 Nikkor lens and my son borrowed a Nikon D40x from his friend and I lend him my other zoom lens which is a Nikkor 70-300 lens.
That was his very first time using a SLR camera. :eek:

The tickets were the 3 days one including access to the pit lane on Friday only, cost 405Euros each. We were in the stand just after the La Source hair pin (Turn 1), in front of the GP2 garages. We sat 4 rows from the front of the stand, just feet away from the track. :thumbs up:

Not very easy to take photos with long zoom lens when the cars were doing about 150mph across the front of you.

I know about the photos, I went to the GT racing at Silverstone the other week, and had to do a lot of cropping to get the cars in the middle of the pictures!

These are untouch, originals as-shot photos. No cropping or computer post-processing at all.

There were a traffic light and a sign right in front of us. There are better photos too but either the light or the sign get in the way!

Yeah, I have a few like that as well with a fence post (which was an achievement from the pit straight grandstand at Silverstone!) I spent all afternoon trying to get a shot of the Aston Martin, and failed miserably!

Also, did the crowd get any idea as to what was happening with Hamilton and the penalty?
