Hi ... I will start by saying I am glad to find so much enthusiasm about what used to be a great British heritage in the Mini. However, the evolution from the BMC to the BMW has taken the best from many continents; the handling and the concept from the original, and then the sheer lack of noise and the luxury and refinement brought to us by the Germans, has made such a great little car with an endless list of enhancements. Now a bit about myself... my name is Nigel and when I was younger, I was lucky enough to wear BMC coveralls as an apprentice, but soon after this changed to Leyland and kind of went downhill after that. After I served my time I needed more excitement so started my career offshore in Gt. Yarmouth and beyond. I am obsessed with all things mechanical. I have built bikes, cars... bikes and more cars. My first car was a 1968 mini cooper s ... great car until someone else took a shine to it! I jacked in the offshore to start my own business as a motorcycle instructor. This was a great business but seasonal so I had to drive lorries to keep things afloat. So one day, I made the hardest decision of my life and that was to give up a job that I love so I could make a living LOL ;bigwave:
I will put some pics of the mini on the site when I get them but I will put on some of the bike as well if you like that sort of thing. If i can work out how to get the things on :argh:

Silly question but how do you put photos on the page ..... i have made a gallery with some pics in....... thanks for the replies ... when do you have your runs????

the way I do photos is to upload them to photobucket, then you can paste a link on your reply which shows the photos (starts webaddress hereends) Hope this helps.

If you look at the Mini Meets and Social forum, you will find all the details... :thumbs up: There is a run on sunday in the borders if you can make it.. :yes nod::yes nod:

Hope they all come out ...... some of the mods .. Paint, powder coated frame and all other parts... GSX 1100 cams, Akerprovik titanium race system... twin lights... modified wire loom ... See through casings {Clutch, ignition, and starter clutch... 10 deg ignition advancer... Jmc swingarm .. Dynojet kit... seat... all bolts stainless steel... Ohlins fully ajustable suspension.. revalved front suspension... 21 row oil cooler... etc etc...
