Ok, so I'm not doing any work today. I'm waiting on an e-mail from China so until then nothing. I've been on here for sometime and on ebay. Anybody suggest a way I can pass the time at work?:thumbs up:

I always find something funny to watch on youtube. Failing that this saw off a fair bit of time... http://flightsimx.archive.amnesia.com.au/ my best is 103.399 metres (try and get it out the window at the end of the office) Enjoy,

Mark

play 'spec up a mini' on the mini site. Then for more fun set your self a realistic budget and see what you can and cant live without in terms of toys.
My god I must get very bored at work sometimes.

If I did win I must remember the difference between front foglights and spotlights when ordering...:D

Set yourself a budget and a target type of car and let loose on autotrader.

So, what sports car with 200BHP would I buy for less than 3K as an example.

I can waste hours doing that...

Yeah searching autotrader is a great one. See what bargains you can find. Its then hard work to persuade yourself to not actually buy it though.

Totally - my current obsession is finding cheap BMW M cars and telling myself how expensive they will be fix put right!

That and Audi S8s.

Right. My boss is out of the office on lunch, I now have work to do but i can not get enough of canyon deffence. Wow, what a game.

The autotrader is a good one, and more so as I'll soon need two cars (Once my flat sells that is). Anyone suggest a good family car? Basically the bigger the better. I had a mondeo at one point that was a nice size.

Well, give us an idea of budget ;-) I'm assuming you don't want to spend loads (none of us do!) so your probably looking for a used bargain. In which case I give you...

SAAB 95 - cheap to buy (used), solid, and absolutely gigantic. And on motorways will do 30MPG+ (not in town though!). Old man had a few Aero's, they were ferociously fast for something that can't corner well (not entirely true - it goes round corners, but they lack feel). I've seen 2 year old cars that were 27K new going for near 10K these days.

Old style Mondeo can be had for peanuts these days and are still good motors. They are also pretty big inside!

Other suggestions:
Scooby Legacy (great build quality, can be had with the Impreza engine and 4x4 too in a very stealthy package!)
Passat - big cars (but how is this - the new Jetta has a bigger boot?!!)

I have around £1000 just now, so autotrader is keeping me entertained. I can go higher and even go to finance if I want.

The new jetta, huh... I had the old one and man that had a big boot. I could get 3 people in the boot depending on how limp the bodies were:smilewinkgrin: Nah, it's a great car, the bora and vento look good to.

The scooby caught my eye. Was looking at a 52 plate with 16000 miles on it. The guy wanted £4000 for it. Needed a new paint job and the air intake sorted. He took £2700 in the end on ebay best offer. Wish I had the balls to offer him that for it:argh:

Got a clubman as a courtesy car. Disappointed in the boot space otherwise would have had one.
