As I drove up the M40 this morning, I passed the RAC team lorries on their way up, looking very smart in dark grey.

As for the prices - BTCC is always more expensive, although I'm paying 12 quid I think this weekend to go to Silverstone for the British GT championship and that is for both days (as they moved the F3 to Saturday - bit annoying as I can't go both days)

Not really, it's normally about £12 to get in just to watch something like Speed Sunday.

Season ticket is just over 100 quid....I think....so you only have to go to the touring cars and superbikes (practise and race) and half of its paid for :thumbs up: plus you get a parking pass which means your not parked waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the back:moonie:

Knockhill will have a huge TV screen stationed at Real Radio Hairpin for the Touring Cars this Sunday. Text from an email just received:

"BIG SCREEN TV INSTALLED

Racing fans will be in for a TV treat at Knockhill Racing Circuit this weekend as the HiQ British Touring Car Drivers battle for valuable Championship Points. The Circuit will have a HUGE TV Screen installed at the Hairpin section of the Track. The TV will show live images from ITV4 so racing fans will have the best of both Worlds. Seeing the door banging action first hand and not missing any of the action at other sections of the Circuit. The screen was used at the British Superbikes last weekend and was an exceptional addition to the Knockhill Racing Experience"

It's probably the same huge TV they had erected for the Superbikes last Sunday. I noticed it on Eurosport as the camera panned around the hairpin. Thought they would leave it up for the BTCC. Makes sense I guess.

Does anyone know if they use the same guys for commentating the touring cars as they use for the SMRC meets?

Screen was OK but it meant that it was packed down at the hairpin stands:eek:

Sarah and I are going on Sunday. We have scored free tickets from her work. Includes paddock entry as well.

What time does it all start on Sunday? Are NMS folks meeting up at any location?

AndyP & Lenore
15th August 2008, 03:06 PM
Don't think there's any meet-up plans. It's gonna be busy as **** so I doubt we'd all get standing together anyway.

Besides, Neil & Lorna, Stephen & Alyson and Lenore & I will all be spread out around the circuit to get decent piccie coverage.
