Brian, is the space still for sale for the thistle run? We didn't think we could make it so we haven't booked. Circumstances have changed so we could use your space. If it's still available, E mail me and we can arrange to send a cheque.

Fossy just speak to Rob and take the place, im not bothered about any money , it was only a tenner and paid it ages ago.

Just go and have a great day :D

Willie M

I'm sure it'll be fine Malcolm.
BTW Rob. It looks like Linda & I will be travelling in one car now. We both resgistered seperately (70&71) so there will be another empty slot if anyone was interested. Assuming this is okay with Rob & the Mini Clan guys of course.

Willie M

If anyone wanted to meet up at Stirling Services (popular place :I) Linda and I could take you straight to the Falkirk Wheel as it's in our old neighbourhood. Could probably take you there via an interesting little road too :) Would need to allow about 20-25mins to get from SS to FW.

I take it Seany and Una might be interested. Anyone else?

Good man GAJ, I'll hand over the run badge at Stirling on the day (no charge).

Okay. I've started a list on the first post of the thread, for simplicity's sake 8) I would suggest we LEAVE Stirling Services at 9.00am, getting us to Falkirk for registration around 9.30am.

Incidentally. I see from the Clan info I received that the visitor centre at The Wheel will be doing breakfasts :p

lightbody
20th May 2004, 04:53 PM

Willie,

myself and jude will meet you at Stirling Services also. The little road your thinking of isn't by any chance the back road to torwood. very nice:cool:, use it as a shortcut to stenny when I'm working, but that's in a diesel van!! can't wait to fling drive the mini down that road:D:D

Willie, will see you at Stirling services, let us know the time. It's probably a long way for a shortcut, but worth it I'm sure for the "mystery road".

You guys have a safe and fun day! I'll be soaring towards Madrid at (slightly) higher altitude and speed while you're all convoying around. Try not to get any wee Minis stuck in your radiators.

See you all soon. Buenas Tardes!

Whats the story with the horse!?

Charlie and I had a fantastic day and the weather defied the forecasts as usual! Charlie is in a huff with me for abandoning him at the very far end of the pier for most of the day!

RNLI raised over £250 pounds and have added the run to their website -
http://www.anstrutherlifeboat.org.uk/news

We stayed over in Anstruther last night and did the route in reverse today to take all the signs down - was fun!

I think it was between Dunning and Glenfarg, I could be wrongish, but as we came round a bend with Linda leading, some geezer was loosing to a Shetland pony in trying to get the devils creature back to its stable. Linda jumped out the car and showed how it should be done, like a true profesional, and we all waited, which allowed us to regroup.:D

Well done once more to the Clan!! Another Thistle run to be proud of!!
Excellent roads, great atart and finish points and fantastic weather!
(Mmmmmmmmm.... chips.....)
It was great to see old and new Minis mingling together in the convoys and the car parks too - and even better that there's none of that natiness that happens at some of the shows down south... "Hang the Fish Suppers...We're just here for the banter!!" ;):D

And well done to all our prize winners too!!
I still say there shoulda been a prize for the most raodkill on the front of a car... (one of these days I'll win something...) ;)
