Planning on jacking up and removing the front wheels on my car tomorrow to fit my aero front bumper. Does anybody know the correct place to situate axle stands at the front of the car??

Haynes manual says to use the jacking blocks but I know that this is a no no. Had a look on mini 2 as well but I just keep getting conflicting answers!

Any help is appreciated!

David :p

Hi David,

can't answer about the axle stand positions, however do you need to jack the car up? I changed the bumpers on my car from Cooper to Cooper S examples without taking off the front wheels or jacking the car up. Just for your info. ;)

Best of luck. :thumbs up:

Just what Craig says :yes nod:.

I've had the front bumper off both my MINI's and you don't need the wheels off. Just turn the wheels full lock in one direction, this is enough to loosen the little plastic screw and get into the bolt on both sides. The bolts under the bumper you can reach no probs.
