The old boy went last year and the year before and said it was great. He took plenty pics and it looked amazing. He was at some fancy dress 1930s do down there as well.

That's the revival - I'm going to that later in the year.

The FoS is awesome. I was standing next to a Renault 5 Maxi Turbo rally car and this bloke wandered up and started talking to me about it. It was Rene Arnoux. Gobsmacked. It's that kind of place. We nearly got flattened as we were rummaging in our bags for something and this scrum of people came straight at us - led by Alonso who walked past and smiled at us. That was when I liked him :D

The bike are mad, the F1 boys really play to the crowd - Coulthard drove up the hill, all the length of it, in 1st with his foot on the brake and his right foot planted. Cue massive amounts of wheelspin and the most amazing noise - these were the last of the V10's and they sounded incredible.

That was until the Aston Martin Le Mans cars came out...

If you've never been, it's the most amazing event. The revival is coming up in September, very different event I think but everyone has to see the FoS once.

Well that's me back. What a fantastic two days :D:D still grinning. Been to lots of car shows but this beats them all. The event is massive so much to see, even with the two days you don't get to catch everything that's on. The sound of some of the cars was amazing, the F1 cars are insanely loud , but the McLaren SLR 722 GT was my fav, 5.4 Ltr V8 Mmmmmm. The highlight for me was meeting the legend that is Murray Walker :thumbs up:. If you haven't been I would highly recommend it.

Great shots - and grandstand seats!!! Brilliant!

The only time we struggled to near the front was when the F1 cars were going up the hill, and yes - they make some racket! I've been lucky to see them three times - once in Regent Street (heard them only, the crowd was massive), Goodwood and inside Wembley at the Race of Champions last year. Actually, the Audi DTM car made the most noise at Wembley, but they are still massively impressive cars.

I think you can order them from Goodwood. Or get in touch, I'm sure they'd help you. We looked at getting married at Goodwoood (then saw the price! :thud:) and they were just so helpful it's unreal. Had a tour of the house too, it's some place! Met by the butler by name...
