Download Run Notes Here (http://www.newminiscotland.co.uk/run_notes/2008/manky_thrash_III_november_2008.pdf)
This run will start from our very own sponsor, John Clark's in Dundee and then proceed around the tayside countryside hitting as many dubs as possible.
John Clark have kindly agreed to supply us with bacon rolls before the run, so, please be prompt, it's a 9am gathering for a 09.30 departure.
The showroom's will be open as well to allow the members to drool over the new and used car selection, just leave your new car orders with Ryan :)
Once again, lunch will be consumed at Roo's Leap and advanced orders will be required, but will be posted nearer the time.
I've attached the menu, choice not needed until October, but, i need to know if you want to eat at Roo's
Roo's Leap Menu Here (http://www.roosleap.com/File/Roos_Menu_Montrose.pdf)
The end stop will be the Brechin Castle Centre which is right on the dual carriageway for easy departures north and south, toilets available too.

Alan, we're now a definite maybe. As in, we have every intention of coming on the run. Only a last minute staffing issue would cause us to pull out at the last minute. So if that happens, we realise we would have to pay for the food.
So, could we order: 2 Mississippippippi Burgers.:computer:

Roo's have kindly allowed me to book 65 seats
So, i would like everyone's orders as soon as possible so i can confirm the numbers.
I fully expect a few drop outs nearer to the run date, which is normal for any run, but, the fact Roo's have allowed a large reservation means they use more staff and it's only fair to them that i make every effort to fullfill the request :yes nod:

Sorry to do this but we are not going to be able to do this. We have a Border common riding event dinner the night before and these things tend to go on until the wee hours. Wouldnt be wise for me to drive early on the Sunday. I totally forgot that we were going to the dinner.

Alan, I'm really sorry but I'm not going to make it. I've managed to knacker my dodgy (but usually bearable) back - shifting my new furniture last night. I can just about drive the 7 miles to work and back, but there's NO WAY I'd survive the Manky Thrash. I'd be lucky to make it to Dundee. GUTTED (and off my face on paracetamol), to miss what will be a fine day. Let me know the damage for the food (I was looking forward to that Burger!) as I've called off so late and I'll send you a cheque. Again, many apologies - have a great safe day everybody and I'll see some of you on December 7th for our Christmas Nosh-Up.

Thanks to Alan for another great Manky Thrash, boy was it ever :D
Weather was nice and dry but the Sun was really low, a few blinding moments. Food mmmm as always. Poor Craig was trying his hardest to finish that burger but to no avail . Roads after lunch were the best ones. Thanks to AndyP for cleaning my back window, and Burple for the loan of your water bottle. We all must have went through gallons of windscreen washer fluid.
You will be pleased to know Alan, my car has been washed and is all shiny again. Half a days membership of the Manky Club is long enough :moonie:

Great run Alan, great food, great weather and great photos Baz apart from the last one. Look like a real "special needs" case. Think that was when Sioban was "getting to me":argh::argh:
Andy you were right, that sun was the worst I have seen / driven in. Very dangerous, especially with outside lane huggers. That's when you wish you were driving a snow plough:ragin:

Yeh i should apoligise to Zimbo, having to slam on the brakes a couple of times but low sun and no windscreen wash was a awful combo. And thanks to Andy for giving me some water so i could get to Brechin

That's me just back on line (had to get the Virgin tec team out today to replace the box on the wall at the telly - real technical explanation from me as usual )
Great, fab, superb day out, with special thanks to Alan & Julie for the organisation & to JC's for their early morning hospitality
Roo's was excellent & the customer service was top notch
Roads were fab, especially in the afternoon session when the pace seemed to liven up a wee bit :thumbs up: & us Coops could play 'mix with the 'Supercharges' & the BIG FAST MINI's' on the twisties :hand:
Trip back home was interestingly 'blinding' with the sun setting bang in front of us on the way back down through Dundee & Stirling.
X12 is still boggin & there is no plan at present to clean it either, long live the mank :D
