Hey

Never seen one of them before, but I like it. Reminds me of a mini TVR :thumbs up:

Could get quite interesting with a few mods - having looked at the website, can't believe how low the price is

Does it have the CS pack on it?

Have fun
Steve

Thanks Steve,

The GXP comes with the "club sport" package that is optional on the base model. The "GXP Club Sport" package is special order only and you have to delete everything else ( air con, radio, etc... ) - Mine does NOT have the GXP Club Sport package.

It has:
2.0L turbo ( 260hp / 260 torque )
5sp manual trans
limited slip differential
dual exhaust ( ? )
stabilitrack ( abs, cbc, etc...)
full leather interior
18" wheels - chrome....
air con ( it gets HOT here )
6 disk "monsoon" radio.....

Plus alot of other boring stuff

I can't wait to get it all broken in --- have to wait till 500 miles before I can take it up to redline....I am at 175 mile now...:argh:

The car comes either with the Pontiac nose or you can get it as a Saturn Sky Redline

The wife has a Yukon XL for when we all have to go someplace - or when I take the kids camping - but that 6.0L motor really loves the taste of gas...

When i was in the states last year we (me Julie) had a serious look at many Solstice motors.
They are fantastic and the pictures don't do them justice, didn't take one for a drive, but, the turbo model is very nice, as for teh price, cheap as chips compared to the UK market.
But then, that was the same for most BMW's, what i paid in UK Pounds you pay for in US Dollars for the same M3  or equivalent model

Nice choice BC :thumbs up::cool:

Is that a Tag Caravan. Only Caravan I know, other than an Airstream, with any kudos

See, now, that's a much nicer nose.

You don't wanna try the Yukon in this country, on what we're paying for gas right now.:thud::argh:

The Saturn may reach these shores as the Vauxhall Speedster.

You are right - it is a T@B - built here under license.

The Saturn Sky ( maybe VX Speedster ) is the same car as the one I have -- just different body.

Last I heard the Pontiac outsells the Saturn here by a wide margin - so it would make sense to export it as a VX to boost sales.

Just FYI

The Pontiac Solstice is also sold as the Opel GT and the Daewoo G2X ( or something like that? ).

I've got almost 300 miles on the car.....only 200 more to go till I can really open it up:thumbs up:

Thanks all!!!!!!

Whats the gas mileage in this baby.

According to GM it is 19 City and 28 Highway ( US Gallons ). So far I am averaging about 22 mpg .

That's a US gallon though which is less that one of ours :)

Yes - our gallons are smaller --- I just got back from my folks cabin - averaged 31.5 MPG ( US gallons ) - I tried to keep it under 70MPH - but I caught myself doing almost 80 a lot..... oh well:hand:
