This is purely a "How To" forum. It is a venue for members to post up a set of instructions on how to carry out a task with your MINI. Either a routine maintenance job - changing the oil or filters, adding a component to your MINI - wiring in spotlamps or fitting side skirts. It is NOT a forum to ASK how to carry out a task. If you require guidance in carrying out a particular task, use the Mods Faults & Fixes" (http://www.newminiscotland.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=5) Forum.
To post a "How To":
Carry out your task taking as many photo's as possible - remember a photo is worth a thousand words. Write your instructions out, adding your photo's in as appropriate, remembering to keep the technobabble as simple as possible. Also remember that your photo should be no larger than 800 X 600 pixels. For instructions on how to use pics in your post see this thread here. (http://www.newminiscotland.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=12359)
It may not be possible for you to write up your task/mod/maintenance task in the one go. During this time we would ask that other members do not post up questions. Allow the author of the How To, to finish his/her article then the thread can be used for questions if any member feels they need further clarification on any particular task. Once you have completed your How To, make a clear post to the thread stating so, so that the conversation can begin - if required.
If any member has any questions regarding this new forum, please ask Any of the Admin/Moderator team or MINI William(Site Owner). We'll be glad to help.
