Hi

Just joined the site this week and have a mini cooper s 04 plate

The other day I had a problem with the run flat tyres and went to the tyre centre and they replaced a leaking tyre valve.

The problem now is that the runflat warning indicator on the dash will not go off-do I have to go to the main dealer to reset somthing.

Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim,

no trip to the dealer needed.;) From memory, turn the ignition on, you will find the run flat reset button under the handbrake, please this down for about 3 seconds, the light should change. Turn off the ignition and then start the car. it should have gone.

If I am wrong, it is in your wee manual. :o :D

Cheers

C

Edit - just checked, the light will go front Red to Yellow when the reset has taken place, just start the car and drive off. :D

Sometimes the light won't go off until you've driven away for a few yards.
Also, check all the tyres on the same axle are the same pressure, because the indicator works on the principle that if one side has deflated, the rolling circumference changes thus setting off the light :)

Welcome to the site by the way

Happy to help - as Bonnie says, just check your pressures as they can give the same error. :)
