Was in Peter Vardy's in Edinburgh today getting our JCW Brakes upgrade fitted to our Red MINI.
In the show room they have an absolute gem. It's a 1998 Z3 M Roadster with 14,000 miles on the clock. Just shy of £16k, it's in Estoril Blue and Nappa Leather. 3.2 Litre straight six, 320 BHP, 0-60 in just over five seconds. Lenore and I absolutely fell in love with it and I have to say, if it had been an auto tranny, this post would have had a very different ending. But for now the Freelander 2 is staying on our drive for now.:(

now your talking.:cool:I had a Z3 Silver with red leather I trade it in against my BRG Cooper.
Got to say 16K even with 14,000miles on the clock is a lot of money for the year of motor.

Did think that too Fi, but as we're not going for it, it doesn't make any difference.

That one all day long please. Not one of them in a bmw dealers just now. Rare cars.
The roadster is also lovely. I remember seeing on a forum a couple years ago someone got one and I was amazed at the size of the rear arches. Such an aggressive stance.
Post 2001 cars had the S54 M3 engine with 324 bhp
Handling is said to be a bit tail happy in them. Good fun though!

This link takes you to a pic of a car that looked identical to the one in Vardy's showroom.

I remember looking at one of these as a mad LPG conversion option instead of the Omega....

I love those cars. Just because they are so bonkers and very rare. I nearly bought one (smaller engine) before I got my first Mini, in silver with red leather. But that's my favourite colour combo. And my favourite engine.

59,000 miles, common problem with the s54 newer engines, but this is the older s50 model.
