Run Notes Here (http://newminiscotland.co.uk/run_notes/2008/LochTayInMay2008.pdf)

Right folks there are lots of runs on this year, but I’m sure you wont mind me squeezing another one in. I have organised my first run for the 4th of May.

Start point will be Stirling services, then taking in some of my fav roads up to Loch Tay, Lunch will be in Kenmore. Then returning to Stirling via more great roads.

Cheers,

Colin (CCM).

Meet at Stirling Services (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=FK7+8EU&jsv=107&ie=UTF8&ll=56.076275,-3.920875&spn=0.017436,0.040169&z=15) from 10:00am onwards. Run will leave promptly at 10:30am.

LUNCH - Due to the numbers we have a simple menu to make life easy.

Kenmore Hotel has done us a lunch deal for £8.50 per person for the following

Soup of the Day
*****
1. Beef Steak & Ale Pie with Puff Pastry & Chips
or
2. Vegetable Lasagne & Chips
or
3. Breaded Haddock & Chips
*****
Tea or Coffee

*** UPDATE - No more lunch orders***
**RUN FULL**

Could those that have ordered lunch, please give me the money at the services before we leave, this way I can take care of the bill when we get to the Hotel and save a lot of hassle Thanks.

Hi Joyce, technically there are no spaces left but as I have said to others I will put you on the reserve list, and if I don't hear from the folks that haven't confirmed yet then you get their place.:thumbs up:

Can you let me know what you would be doing for lunch please.:)

Oh and get yourself over to the "Introduce Yourself" section and tell us a little bit about yourself and your MINI, we are a friendly bunch.:D

We had our picnic at Kenmore...and then started falling asleep. Both Kim and I have loads to do tonight...so I do hope you understand.

The road on the run were excellent!...some of my favourite roads in fact. Dukes Pass always goes down well. I did miss my 18"'s though...so much flopping about on 16" wheels/tyres.

Well done Colin! Another great day out with the gang (I'm glad the 'new' folks enjoyed it too - you're all most welcome... especially if you're older than me).

Food was good, and the service didn't keep us waiting, so top marks to the Kenmore Hotel staff too. Musn't forget Rob and his surprise 'Carry-Oot' rolls & sausage - AND sauce - for the Lanarkshire crew before we left Hamilton - top man! (that Christine's not daft..... a man who'll bring you a hot breakfast when you finish your early shift at work - rare).

The views were great all day, but especially on one part of the run when you could see the big loch and the misty glen on the right hand side which was pure magic. It was good to get out and about and have a typically NMS fab time - which after a totally crap month at work was SO welcome! The rain in places just added variety.

Tony, we lost you after the 50 limit on the way home - that's what you get for nicking my terrible one-liner (which I nicked from the Romans... it's THAT old). Hope you all had a safe journey home and nobody got (wait for it folks...) stuck up the Trossachs.

Enjoy the 'Aussie Pink Floyd' Malcolm! (hope they play all the hits: 'Shine on ya flippin' great wallaby', 'Tie me Arnold Layne down, Sport', 'Didgeridoo Side of the Moon'...)

See Y'all on June 1st for 'MINdiana Jones and the Dealer from Troon'

Well done Colin, great first run, really enjoyed our day out, especially the post lunch pace :thumbs up:. Even though it was chuckin it down, X12 had a ball chasing G3 (oh the soundtrack ;) ) over the twisties.

Colin, fantastic run, some great roads that I haven't been on before. What a blast the "tail enders" had on the last 10 miles

Thanks again for getting us lunch, wondered why Craig was so keen for us to sit beside Jude and him....nothing to do with being served first was it;)

The run stickers were class. You must have spend ages doing them.

:off topic: Euan, Aussie Pink Floyd were amazing, defo worth seeing. Played a lot of early (hard core Sid B stuff) Funny enough all the men were called Bruce and all the females were called Sheila. Now we know why Sheilz didn't get to the run

Colin, Top day out mate! some cracking roads, scenery was awesome, spot on pace too, especially that last part where it was only you in front of us! Good to know the One can keep up with the big boys on the twisties when I put my mind to it:D ..Can't wait to get it chipped now. Top scran at the Kenmore too!:yes nod:
Not been up the Trossachs way for a while now, and some of those other roads were top notch Mini-blasting stretches!
Looks like you better make this one a regular thing! I want my name down now!! :p

We had an ace time, but I'll let my partner in crime speak for herself!! :D:D

Great to see all the regulars again, and a lot of new faces too, superb run for the newbies!
Thanks to Mum'n'Dad for the coffee too at the end of the run, I needed that! Hope the Aussies were suitably awesome, got to admit I was a wee bit jealous! :D

Sigh.. got to give the Min a wash now, she really earned her unleaded yesterday! She might even deserve a detailing at the weekend for her performance yesterday!

Cracking pics too guys! keep 'em coming!!
