Jim, you can get a HID Bulb upgrade but these are not e marked and I think you would fail your MOT if you had them in when the car was tested.

Jim, I was quoted £250 for the upgrade on my Brabus Forfour and that was a tricky install. That was from Checkpoint in Aberdeen.

Do you want something that looks like a Xenon, or something that actually offers better performance?
How about these: http://www.osram.com/osram_com/Professionals/Automotive_Lighting/Products/Headlights/NIGHT_BREAKER/index.html

Some bulbs can mimic some of the effect of HID, but to get the real effect you need HIDs. There are after market kits but you might find yourself on the wrong side of the law.
The design of the lenses can make a car look a bit like a xenon car, the old shape punto looked like it had HIDs.

Why?
Xenons are not for looking better, you spend the extra money so they are better for looking ;)

I just put a set of Osram Nightbreaker bulbs in my car (and a set in Crombers) and they are great, much much brighter and also whiter.   They are also legal and cost approx £30 for a pair. I got them from www.powerbulbs.com (http://www.powerbulbs.com)
Craig:)
