I have indeed. Saw it first about 11 months ago just after we bought our Wii. I'd love to do that in our cinema. And TBH, we can do it - we have the sound system and the digital projector capable of filling the screen (as the NMS'ers on the Italian Job Run saw for themselves). We can do it with the Xbox 360 we have, and it looks amazing!;) :D

The biggest problem with the Wii is the sensor bar. Not sure how to get that tiny little cable and sensor bar from the front of the hall all the way to the projection room where the Wii console would need to be located. I guess we could locate the Wii box in the auditorium, but then we would need to feed the video (would have to be component) an audio signal up into the projection room. Then I'm not sure if the sensor bar would have a wide enough range to pick up the controller movements etc.

From memory, in the You Tube clip, they made up their own sensor system and fed that into into the Wii. Not a clue about how they did that.

Hmmmmmmmm...... thinks......

If you had a spare DLP projector like I have, would that work with a Wii in the same way? I was looking to sell my Projector but perhaps I should get a Wii instead.....

That would work Paul. In fact the digital projector in the cinema is a DLP. but it cost £65,000, weighs 400kg and uses a 2.5KW bulb. Don't possess a DLP at home. But the Wii looks very nice on our 42" Plasma especially using the component out.;)

Ahhh. That site was virtually bare when I first looked at it way back when.

Now it has a circuit diagram and a useful blog. Cool. I didn't realise the "sensor bar" didn't have any sensors in it  . It is just a bank of LED emitters. Easy peasy then.

A (Wii) project for when I have some spare time. Pardon the punn.
