1 Series Coupe Launch

Anybody else on here thinking about going to the 1 series coupe launch this weekend?

I must admit I am thinking about it, want to see what the car actually looks like in the metal so to speak.

Had a seat in the new M3 on saturday and had to force myself out of it... :p

Was a lovely Bronze/Grey/Silver colour with red leather interior.

They also had a blue diesel one on as there demo car which was sitting up on the grass bank.

Had a wee look at and a sit in a 1 series coupe today. Nice inside but not convinced about the outside. Not that sure about the 3 door either. I do like the 5 door though.

I take it your talking about the 1 series in general and not just the coupe as it only comes in 2 doors. :confused: I wasnt aware anyone was allowed to display the new coupe before the launch on 24th. The 3 and 5 door hatch are all thats available for now.

It was the 2 door Coupe that I was sitting in. I dont think it was in the showroom that long as they were still moving cars about. There was also a 3 door and a 5 door sitting next to it.
No cabrio though. Does it come soon?

I suspect he means the dealer had a 1 series coupe, a 3 door 1 series hatch and a 5 door one series hatch.

On the cabrio front, I think you would be safe to assume 6 months before you see it in the showroom - most BMW launches are 5-6 months after the car has first been announced to when it arrives in the showroom.

There is only a 2 door coupe which isnt to be launched till this sat, Nationwide dealer launches are usually always the same date. 3/5 door door sports hatch and a cabrio that wont be launched till next year but no set date as yet.

Come on Saturday/Sunday...:D Never realised till now that all the one series Coupes' are Diesel except for the 135i which is obviously Petrol & has 306bhp... :eek: now that sounds really nice :p

135 is the same twin turbo six from the 335 - awesome bit of kit. Engine for me though would have to be the 123 for the power and the mpg.
