I'm a long time Mini owner who only recently has taken a step into the MINI world.

I still have the rust buckets, my Wife and I take turns in using one as an everyday car.
Our other everyday car is the MINI.

We turned up at the local MINI dealer with the desire to test drive a new R56 Cooper or S.
Their demo cars were not available so they let us loose in a 2006 Cooper S,
I instantly fell in love with the Supercharger noise :D

I wanted an R53 Cooper S in a metalic colour with aero kit and as low miles as possible, while my Wife wanted electric blue.
The next week I spotted another local MINI dealer who had a 2005 Cooper S in electric blue with an aero kit and only 11,000 miles:cool:

It didn't take us long to get there and buy it :p
I wish I'd bought one years ago.

So far I've added MINI cd changer, JCW 18 alloys & JCW roof spoiler.

I would love a miltek exhaust, leather dash & down tubes.
If anyone wants to buy me these for Christmas I would be happy to accept :)

Welcome to the forum. I would say we have a run organised for this Sunday which you'd be welcome to join, but I'm guessing that would be a bit of a trek for you.

Thanks for the friendly welcome and I would hope to make it over sometime in 2008 for some Mini/MINI events (we usually only get over once a year as the ferries are so expensive)

Hope you get across for some events. The other club I'm a member of (The Mini Clan) organises a large event at the end of May every year called The Thistle Run, that would be a good one to come over for!

We (The Clan) come over to the Antrim / Causway Coast every year to take part in the Dash of the Oirish and the show in Portrush in August. Always have an awesome time, a great welcome, and have made lots of new friends over there!
