I spoke to a few of you on Sunday about the possiblilty of a track day in your road cars. Can you let me know who would be interested. It is normally around £60-80 with 2hrs 30mins track time. (Not bad when you consider us racers pay £220 for 2x10 lap races!!) Remember you only go as fast as YOU want to go... You can learn a lot about your car and how its handles without the fear of a head on crash. I will be on hand to do some tutition on racing lines etc...  ;)

Does it have to be MINIs? I might be interested in seeing what the MX5 will do. I should have cars handling sorted by then.

A wee set of Eibach Springs perhaps..... to go with your standard Bilstein Shocks (Well if you have the Sport Model) I fitted these when i had an MX5 for a brief time and it handled brilliant....

Thats what I'm going for £300 fitted by the dealer. Also considering the chassis brace package as well as the uprated poly bushes and sway bars.

You will love it. I like that with Mazda how you can buy technically what are Aftermarket parts from them ie Eibach etc and it all be approved and fully covered by Manufacturers Warranty....

Hi Scott, again I will need to check with the other minis that 993 is Ok. I think what we need to do is fill as many spaces as possible with Minis then take view on what else wants to come.

Well i think everyone will agree with me,that all that needs to be said about a track day is that its FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!
At a track day you get the chance to drive your wee pride and joy around Knockhill Racing Circuit as fast or as slow as you like and have lots of fun... And i'm sure Mr Dryden will be along shortly to say he will be able to give some Guidance on driving on the circuit... But i'm sure you will be buzzing along in no time in your New JCW S....

Very few insurance companies will insure for track day cover, bike insurers have a better understanding of what it means.
The specialist companies usually insure for 1 event at £10 per £1000 of insured value, with a fairly considerable xs.
