Hey people,
Just wonderin if anyone has any tips for removing the knee bolster in a 53 reg cooper? So i can remove the last screw from the down tube, so i can replace the headunit. :)

it's a bit of a big job...you need to remove the screws from the cupholders and from under the wing mirror control switch. There's a detailed guide on mikey's site... http://newministuff.com (http://newministuff.com/)

hmmm, ok removed most parts but cannot remove the last torx screw on the top right due to the knee bolster, can anyone recommend a good way of removing the bolster, thanks.

If you try pulling the bolster down, it'll pop down and open up access to that top torx bolt. Your best place to pull it down is just to the left of the steering column.

You have to get your fingers in and give it a good tug.. It'll pop out!
You need to pop it out at both sides of the Steering column tho, then it should hinge down to let you into the bolt..
