Jason, when you are posting a link, there will be two "bits" to it. The first bit is the actual URL with the web link enclosed in "quotation marks". The second bit is not enclosed in quotation marks and can be changed to whatever you wish.

For example this text:

With the text changed.....

Well. What you don't see in Jason's original post is him actually ASKING how to post URL's without all the gobbledygook stuff appearing. For some reason one of the "other" Mad Mod's - namely Mr Scotland - edited his post and removed that question.:confused: But he did that at the same time as I was helping Jason out, so now my post makes me look like he's getting a telling off. But actually I was just lending a helping hand, like the nice Mod I am.;)

And here's a question for you...... If Jason texted you a request to jump out a window, would you do it?:eek: :D ;)

I was trying to correct the post :o to show what he had to do, but, for some reason it wouldn't allow me.
Somehow i managed to delete his words cause i copied them to insert later, but, copied something else and lost his words altogether :eek:

Anyway, it's a problem that still exists, that no one can alter the first post of a thread.
Andy, go try and make the link into a clicky ;)

Nice one, i've always had this probelm since the conversion to the new site, can never "fix" anyone's first post, one day it'll maybe get fixed
