I have owned my first Mini for almost 6 months now and my DVLA tax renewal came through the post. A shocking £112 for 6 mnths or £205 for 12 mnths.
What p****s me off more is the fact that I can get my insurance down to £280 for the year through Privilege.
My bloody car tax costs almost as much as my car insurance. What is going on!
Anyway, I guess I never bought the Cooper S for the cheap running costs, just as well
Vent over, thankyou for reading!

R56 road tax is £140 per year which is a bit cheaper than the Supercharged model.
R56 CooperD is £35 per year. My god that is cheap.

I would tell you to get an R56 and save the road tax, but the amount of journeys to the garage to get it fixed, would cost more than the £65 difference in the tax...! ;) :D :D

I think I might actually go for a Cooper D next and have it chipped :D .
But going to keep a hold of the S just now and wait until all the problems are ironed out on the new cars first :)

Are you trading the car in?? if so, are you sure you're allowed to get the disk back, remember, you can only claim for unused months, not part of a month, so, if trading in on the 3rd, you'll lose all of September :(
