That is a question, VXR are currently doing a remap for my car (3.0 V6 Vectra) which boosts power from 184bhp to 220bhp. Only trouble is it costs £550, is that too expensive?
At a guess the 0-60 should come down from 8.2 to roughly 7 secs.
Also anyone know what a V6 diesel sounds like with a sports exhaust?

Paul, it will no doubt also increase the torque and that's where you'll see the biggest difference.
£550 is a lot of dosh, but when you think the JCW kit for the R53 is an increase of 37bhp, for £3K +, 36 BHP increase for £550 seems an almost bargain.
Will you still keep the warranty?

A bit of a grey area. VXR is 888 Racing, the Vauxhall BTC people. If I have any problems with the engine they want to hear about it first, they'll deal with a local dealer to ensure that if there's any fault on their part they will pay for any work to be carried out.
I haven't heard a bad thing about them, they do the 200bhp conversion for the CDTI Astra that was raced against a VXR of 5th Gear.
They said that they kept the torque down to 450nm as they don't want any clutch/gearbox problems, otherwise 500nm would have been possible.
