MINI COOPER CLUBMAN FROM £14,235 ON-THE-ROAD
MINI COOPER D CLUBMAN FROM £15,400 ON-THE-ROAD
MINI COOPER S CLUBMAN FROM £17,210 ON-THE-ROADENGINES
Identical to the engines in the MINI Hatch, the MINI Clubman comes equipped with a wide range of innovative technologies.
MINI COOPER
The 1.6 litre four-cylinder, naturally-aspirated engine features fully variable valve management based on the BMW Group’s VALVETRONIC technology. This improves the engine’s response and refinement, as well as the all-round efficiency of the power unit.
Maximum power: 120hp at 6000 rpm.
Maximum torque: 160Nm at 4250 rpm
Top speed: 125 mph
Acceleration 0-62mph: 9.8 seconds
Fuel consumption combined: 51.4 mpg
CO2 emissions EU: 132 g/km
MINI COOPER D CLUBMAN
Four-cylinder turbo diesel with common-rail fuel injection and variable turbine geometry ensures optimum smoothness, efficiency and response even at low speeds. A diesel particulate filter almost eliminates diesel exhaust emissions and helps to make the MINI diesel engine one of the most environmentally friendly in its class.
Maximum power: 110hp at 4000 rpm.
Maximum torque: 240Nm at 1750-2000 rpm (260Nm with Overboost)
Top speed: 120 mph
Acceleration 0-62mph: 10.4 seconds
Fuel consumption combined: 68.9 mpg
CO2 emissions EU: 109 g/km
MINI COOPER S CLUBMAN
Powered by a 1.6 litre four-cylinder petrol engine with direct injection and a twin-scroll turbocharger complete with intercooler. Response time when accelerating is virtually instantaneous due to separating the channels of two cylinders each into exhaust manifold and turbocharger. This reduces the exhaust back pressure and plays a major role in ensuring that the charging effect of the turbocharger kicks in at just 1600rpm.
Maximum power: 175hp at 5,500 rpm.
Maximum torque: 240Nm at 1600-5000 rpm (260Nm with Overboost)
Top speed: 139 mph
Acceleration 0-62mph: 7.6 seconds
Fuel consumption combined: 44.8 mpg
CO2 emissions EU: 150 g/km
CO2 MEASURES
The MINI Clubman incorporates the same CO2 measures introduced on R56 Hatch models:
MSA – Automatic Engine Start/Stop
The Auto Start-Stop Function, available with manual transmission cars, automatically switches the engine off when the vehicle is stationary and the driver puts the car into neutral. To restart, the driver only needs to engage the clutch before pulling away in the normal manner. The system may be de-activated at the touch of a button when not required. This technology will reduce both the fuel consumption and the emissions of the car.
iGR – Brake Energy Regeneration
Brake Energy Regeneration works by using an Intelligent Alternator Control (IAC) and an Absorbent Glass Mat battery to recycle previously lost energy, which saves fuel. The IAC reduces drag on the engine by only engaging when required to charge the battery, whereas a traditional alternator is always pulling power from the engine. Additionally, the energy generated by the engine on over-run (under braking or descending a hill) was previously wasted. Now this lost energy is utilised by the IAC to charge the battery. This technology reduces fuel consumption by approximately 3%.
SPA – Switch Point Display
Switch Point Display aids drivers of manual transmission MINIs in selecting the most economical gear in which to drive. The engine management system analyses speed, road situation and accelerator pedal position and based on this data calculates optimum gearing. The ideal gear is then displayed by number in the ****pit display. This technology can reduce fuel consumption if the customer follows the visual data.
