Im assuming all mini 17" wheels are the same dimensions etc. Im needing to know if they (r99 to be specific) are 7.5J or 7J and what offset they are?

Sweeney, I'm really sorry. I had these wheels on our Cooper S for two years and I don't have a clue.

Would there be any problems puttnig 215x45's on them or does it HAVE to be 205?

215's are fine!

How sure are you given that the wheel is 7J and most 17" are 7.5? :o
Don't want them causing any defects or dodgy handling

Right checked with various sources, 215's apparantly are fine, cheers gaj :o
Ordering new tyres tomorrow, toying between eagle f1's, michelin exalto pe2's and avon zz3's, part of me says go with what everyone seems to be saying (on mini2 as well) and get the eagle f1's but would be any reason to consider the other 2 over them?

I have using Eagles in 215 for about 4 years now and have been very happy with them. Never tried the others.

Yeah deep down i know eagles are one to go for, just heard good reports about other 2 and me being as bloody indecisive as i can be it plays havock lol.

Was just worried the handling would be choppy/floppy given the *excess* bulge either side as its a wider tyre.
